Description

Description

The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) Board of Directors has approved construction contracts totaling $227 million for the Garnet Valley Water and Wastewater Systems, which serve the Apex Industrial Complex. The water system, which began construction in 2024, is a partnership between the City of North Las Vegas and SNWA, aimed at transforming water management at the Apex Industrial Complex. Once completed, the Garnet Valley Water System will supply 20 million gallons of water per day. The contracts include installation of the transmission system, wastewater system, sewer pipeline, and more. The project supports efficient use of Southern Nevada's water resources by capturing and recycling all wastewater from Apex Industrial Park back to Lake Mead. Apex is expected to create 73,000 jobs and generate $7 billion in investment over 20 years, adding tax revenue to support public services in North Las Vegas.
