The project involves the design, financing, construction, maintenance, commercial operation and management of a City of Gastronomy and associated real estate facilities. The project site is located in Rungis, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, and spans 10,400m2. The City will comprise:A cultural exhibition and innovation centre (approximately 3,300m2)Atraining centre to host events and gastronomy-related seminars with meeting rooms, workshop rooms, an auditorium and kitchen facilities (3700m2)Commercial spaces for diversified catering options and gastronomy-related stores, selling items such cookbooks and tableware (3,400m2)An open, covered walkway connecting these facilities and the city (3,000m2)Around 400 light-duty vehicle parking spaces and 5 spaces for tourist busesThe real estate facilities include:A hotel or hotel complex of about 150 roomsAccommodation for apprentices and students in training of about 170 rooms and small apartments35-40,000m2space to facilitate economic, touristic, cultural and vocational activitiesAttractive public pedestrian spaces, large enough to function as meeting spaces for the communityAdditional parking facilities
