Description
Description | In an auction conducted in August 2005, Zorlu Petrogas was awarded a 30-year contract by the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) to distribute natural gas in the cities of Gaziantep, Kilis, and Nizip in southeastern Turkey. Zorlu Petrogas Petrol won the tender offering a subscription price of $30 (24.7 euro) per household. To carry out the distribution, the company set up Gaziantep Gas Distribution (GAZDAS). The company was to invest $60 mln (49.5 mln euro) in the construction. The company received its distribution license on 24 February 2006 and began working on infrastructure construction activities in 2007. GASDAS would be supplying natural gas to residential and industrial subscribers once existing pipelines have been turned over to it. |
