The life science sector, which is engaged in research to improve quality of life and lifestyle, has developed strongly in the Greater Copenhagen region. A project will analyse labour mobility and the need for labour in the life science field. The results of the project can be valuable input to educational bodies, authorities and decision-makers, says the partnership. This is a three-year analysis project that will provide an in-depth and more detailed description of Greater Copenhagen’s life science cluster Medicon Valley, labour mobility, future skills needs in life science and proposals for concrete steps to increase mobility. A competence council shall be appointed, consisting of representatives of higher education institutions, industry, regions, employment services. The knowledge provided by the project will make it possible to launch a stronger and more precise regional marketing effort to position Greater Copenhagen as an attractive destination for investment, business start-ups and workforce.
