Description	Gama Enerji AS and General Electric were developing the 840MW Kirikkale natural gas fired power plant. The project also included a 58km transmission line and a 13km natural gas pipeline to and from the facility. Commissioning was planned for 2016. Expected annual outputw as 6,300GWh. The EPC contract was awarded to GAMA Power Systems and GE Energy, based on the GE STAG 209 9FB technology. Operational life was estimated at 30 years. The project reached financial closure in December 2013 with a $600 million loan provided by Yapi Kredi, TSKB, Deniz Bank and Is Bank. Each offered a $130 million 12-year tranche expect TSKB. GAMA already operated a 150MW diesel power plant in Kirikkale.
