Description
Description | The objective of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Project (SSTECP) for China is to assist Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Administrative Committee (SSTECAC) to develop SSTEC as an energy and resource efficient and low Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission city. There are three components to the project, the first component being Technical Assistance (TA), software and equipment for implementation framework of the SSTEC master plan and dissemination activities. This component will finance TA, capacity building and provision of associated software and equipment for the establishment of enabling policy, regulatory, incentive, institutional and financing mechanisms to help (SSTECAC) implement SSTECP and materialize Key Performance Indicator (KPI) as well as monitoring, evaluation and dissemination. The second component is the TA for public transport system. This component will provide technical advisory services and logistical assistance to develop an integrated public transport system, focusing on the mass-transport system, including bus-rapid-transit, to be introduced as the first step of the project's public transport system. Finally, the third component is the green building pilot investment and TA. This component will finance both pilot investments and TA to help SSTEC to implement its green building program. |
