Description | Tether plans to introduce GELT, a Georgian lari-backed stablecoin developed with support from the Georgian government. The project aims to integrate Georgia's national currency directly into blockchain-based financial infrastructure under a dedicated regulatory framework. GELT will support faster and lower-cost transactions, programmable payments, and efficient value movement across digital financial systems.
