Description
Description | Gemswell Surf Madrid is a mega surf park project in Madrid featuring Europe's largest artificial surf lagoon of around 23,000 square metres. The facility includes a calmer Bay Zone for beginners and a more challenging Reef Zone for experienced surfers, with the ability to host up to 120 surfers simultaneously. It is part of a larger sports and leisure complex called Ciudad del Deporte, which includes training pitches, a high-performance centre, additional sports facilities, green spaces, and recreational areas. The surf facility alone costs over 60 million euros, with a total investment of around 350 million euros for the entire site. The project aims to offer year-round surfing with regulated water temperature and sustainable solutions such as solar energy and water recycling. |
