Discovery d.o.o. (Discovery) was founded in 1990 in Vukovar (Croatia) and its primary activity is a film distribution. In all these years of its existence, Discovery has established itself as a leading film distribution company of independent films in Croatia and the whole region (Ex-Yugoslavia territory). Throughout the years, besides theatrical and VOD distribution, the company founded and it operates Vukovar Film Festival – Danube Region Film Festival, film TV channel Kino TV, documentary TV channel Doku TV and a streaming platform Moviemix. The main objective of this project is to enhance our position in the market by securing early acquisitions for the distribution rights of EU films and push the promotion of those films that we distribute, through a wide range of different activities, in order to increase the interest in European films on our territory. As a leading distributor of independent movies, with over 70% of the titles being European production, the project of Automatic Support for Distribution (Reinvestment in MG and P&A) is of a great value to us. The activities we will be concentrating on are: re-Investment in acquisition of distribution rights and re-Investment in promotion, marketing and advertising of European films for theatrical and online releases. With the funds received this reinvestment plan will allow us to distribute, to the best of our ability and what's more important, we will spread awareness of independent cinematography to our audience.
