Generation and reinvestment of funds for distribution of non-national films

As a French distributor, Pyramide releases approximately 12 to 15 films per year and is one of the leading independent French distributors. Since the company found a shareholder in the great Gallic director Louis Malle, Pyramide released his last three films : MILOU IN MAY, DAMAGE and VANYA 42nd STREET. From the very beginning Pyramide also focused on new directors like Jim Jarmush, Claire Denis, Catherine Breillat or Aki Kaurismäki (all his films were released in France by Pyramide including LE HAVRE). Pyramide's line-up in 2024 included several films acclaimed by critics and the public, including THE SEED OF THE SACRED FIG by Mohamed Rasoulof (Cannes 2024 - Prix spécial du jury), Holy Cow by Louise Courvoisier (Cannes 2024 - Un certain regard), Wild Diamond (Cannes 2024 - Official Selection - In Competition), Souleymane's Story (Cannes 2024 - Un certain regard). Pyramide’s line-up for 2025 also includes acclaimed national and non-national films such as the trilogy by the Norwegian Dag Johan Haugerud (including the Golden Bear of Berlin 2025 - DREAMS), the Austrian PEACOCK by Bernhard Wenger (Venise 2024), THE SHROUDS by David Cronenberg (Cannes 2024 - Official Selection - In Competition). We hope to continue our mission as an independent distributor and help European films find their audiences in French theaters. We already have a few exciting projects to follow, and we hope we will be able to acquire and distribute more European projects with the help of our new MEDIA funds.
