Description

Description

"One of the most basic human functions is physical activity. Over millions of years, the human body has evolved into a complex organism capable of doing a wide range of tasks, from walking, running, or climbing with big muscle groups to performing specific actions requiring precise manual dexterity. The health benefits of physical activity are well recognized. They include reduced risks for noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and various types of cancer and positive effects on mental health, by reducing depression, stress reactions and possibly delaying the effects of Alzheimer disease and other forms of dementia. WHO recommends that adults undertake at least 150 min of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity or 75 min of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity or an equivalent combination each week. Promoting physical activity as a preventative healthcare measure has been listed as a key priority in the European Union's five-year strategy. The EU Work Plan for sport (2021-2024) lists three priorities for the EU's work. One of these is ""promotion of participation in health-enhancing physical activity"". To achieve this, the plan calls for cross-sectoral cooperation with relevant institutions. The EU believes that Sport plays a vital role, not only in individual health and fitness, but in shaping our wider European society. This idea arose from the power and responsibility of easily reaching and activating mass. The project partners are chosen based on their enthusiasm and abilities, as well as the project's objectives. This project seeks to catch the attention of persons aged 7-77 in order to increase participation in sports and physical activity through ecological camp activities as a tool. Also, the project was created with the goal of bringing new ideas to the conventional concept of camping as an outdoor activity, providing recreational options for individuals and encouraging all people from all ages to climate actions."
