A recent governmental focus on a national strategy for sustainable development and on the integration of high value datasets, respectively, has created a momentum for renewed collaboration and knowledge building on the integration of geospatial data and statistics. Thus, the general objectives of this project are to a) formalize and strengthen this collaboration through a common project focused on the dissemination of integrated geospatial and statistical data defined in the HVDd, b) provide opportunities for a broader collaborative network through knowledge sharing and the development of best practice guidelines both outside and within SI. This includes c) the strengthening of the foundation of data integration by coordinating geographical information within SI databases. In addition, we will build on the know how and data access gained through this to d) improve the availability, accuracy, and dissemination of the SDG indicators with the use of geospatial data.
