Full focus and strength on sustainability and global goals from Drift to Dannelse. Under the leadership of EUC Syd, seven vocational schools and 1 university join forces to develop and strengthen a sustainable mindset among schools, pupils and students, regional businesses as well as citizens of the border country. The aim of the project is to contribute to skilled labour in the green sector, which is a common need on both sides of the border. It is also common that companies are not yet aware of the skills their employees lack in the green field in two years’ time. The cooperation makes geographical mobility after jobs on both sides of the border easier, because the different cultures are known on both sides, but through cooperation has gained an increased understanding of each other’s way of working. The cooperation includes managers, teachers, school staff, pupils and students, as well as employees in the region’s companies. Cross-border is of great importance, as progress towards a more sustainable society consists not only of knowledge and skills, but also of a mindset in which attitudes contribute to making it a genuine process of formation. It is the best way to ensure both the continuous development of the green skills and application in everyday life. The project includes both strategic processes at the schools, which in this way can demonstrate sustainability in practice to the students, as well as actual implementation of the sustainable mindset in the teaching. An important focal point for the project is the upskilling of both management, teachers and other staff in the schools, so that they gain a common knowledge and understanding of the need for the green transition and how they can influence as much as possible in their job function. Language development in the form of podcasts as well as other forms of communication on social media will be part of projects with the aim of benefiting the project through relentless understanding and communication. The companies benefit from the project by offering upskilling green skills, and also contribute to providing real-life tasks as an activity in the cross-border “Sustain-olympics”. The project aims to achieve the following objectives: a strategy process and a best practice for developing strategy as well as each school strategy and action plans for sustainability continuing training for TAP staff as well as 80 % of participating teachers have completed further training; cross-border visits between pupils and teachers from partner schools developed concept for “Sustainolympics” developed training courses and pod-casts
