Description | Core problem Inadequate quality of training for health personnel in Cambodia. Module objective Strengthening the training system for health professionals in Cambodia. Contribution to the national implementation of Agenda 2030 Contribution to SDGs 3 (health & well-being), 5 (gender equality), 8 (decent work, economic growth) and 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions). Target group Teachers and learners at training institutions in the health sector. Recipient/project sponsor Kingdom of Cambodia, represented by the Ministry of Finance / Ministry of Health (MoH) Key outputs Training institutions implement independently assessed and approved competency-based curriculum; New health professionals are available to the labor market after a national competency-based final examination; Teachers at training institutions in the health sector are qualified to provide competency-based teaching through a certification process; Teaching institutions are strengthened through a certification process. Agreed cooperation with other (German public contracting) providers Joint financing with the World Bank. Complementary advisory services from GIZ. Financing instruments (including accompanying measures, A+F, SBF) Budget - Grant total costs and FC contribution EUR 23.75 million (FC contribution EUR 10.0 million) Expected implementation period 1 January 2022 - 30 June 2026 (implementation of WB-financed activities already since 1 October 2020). |
