Description

Description

Viticulture is an important economic and cultural factor on the Upper Rhine, which has similar climatic conditions for all winegrowers in the region. In the face of global competition, viticulture on the Upper Rhine lacks skilled workers, jeopardising its competitiveness and its ability to adapt to change. Finally, digitalisation also leads to increased competitive pressure. The German-French master’s program in viticulture & enology in the dual system (MoVE), which the Université de Haute Alsace and its partner Weincampus Neustatdt would like to set up, aims to train qualified students who can accompany small and medium-sized wine-growing companies in the digital and climatic change in the long term. The studies will take place in Germany in Neustadt and in France in Colmar, with professional phases alternating between companies and study phases. The project aims to work on the design of the programme in the first year of the project to ensure that the programme can be recognised in both countries. The first students will be admitted from the academic year 2024 and can benefit from a network of companies built up by the project partners, which they will alternately host during their studies. Upon completion of the project, the first group of graduates will have graduated and will be integrated into the labour market.”
