The project has for main target the constitution of a bank of germoplasma of vegetal species of agricultural direction, besides to persecute other aims like the improvement of the competitiveness of the operations, the improvement of the quality of the productions, to reinforce the tie aspects to the control of the crossings, to reduce the risk of introduction of plagues, to recover traditional varieties, etc. To develop this project of " biotechnological character " that guarantees the conservation of the existing vegetal biodiversity they carried out a series of actions that include the harvesting, observation, conservation and characterization, so that the bank otter of adjusted varieties and it has been oriented towards the demand, that is to say, towards requests of the agrarian sector.
