Description	The Gerus solar photovoltaic (PV) plant is a 19.3 MWp merchant solar plant in Namibia developed by Solarcentury Africa. It is the first merchant solar plant in Namibia to sell electricity into the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), marking a significant step in competitive, market-driven renewable energy in Southern Africa. The project was developed in partnership with Sino Energy (Pty) Ltd and constructed in 12 months, creating up to 275 jobs during construction, mostly filled by Namibians, and is expected to generate approximately 50.8 GWh of clean electricity annually.
