Description

Description

The reasons behind the project are linked to the need to combat the phenomenon of doping in basic sport through information and awareness-raising actions for all stakeholders related to the sports world, especially athletes, families and technicians; specialised training on the risks of doping and the resources of mental coaching as a tool to support athletes; access to sport by people with fewer opportunities as a means of removing potentially at-risk people from addictive environments and contexts, at the same time increasing the audience of practitioners and improving the general health of the participants. The project aims to build, around the athlete, a support system that helps him to deal with situations that potentially favour the use of substances considered to improve performance but that worsen the quality of life. Sport at all levels, but especially in amateur sport, can be perceived as stressful or highly competitive (without this being the case) and the culture of victory at all costs and exasperated performance have a negative impact on fragile people who do not have, especially if they are young, the necessary tools to cope with the stress that comes with it. The project combines actions to prevent and combat doping and spread the benefits of psychological support, including the transfer of values related to loyalty, overcoming distinctions and discrimination, recognition and respect for the other, honesty, a sense of friendship, respect for the rules: these are values that can be translated from sports to everyday life, and the project is aimed at a wide audience without any distinction related to sex, race, health conditions, social or economic. In fact will also be involved organizations operating in support of inclusion.
