The project scope is being evaluated with a pivot from the original Lake Preston, South Dakota location to North Dakota due to permitting delays of a CO2 pipeline. The project is supported by a conditional $1.46 billion loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), with an extension granted to April 16, 2026, to finalize project details and scope. |
