Ghana - Accra Sewerage System Improvement Study

The Accra Sewerage System Improvement Study addresses the sanitation conditions in the city in areas outside the existing waterborne sewerage system. This should help to identify other appropriate forms of sanitation to be provided for on an area by area basis throughout the study area. The study should optimize the investment in, and use of, the system and provide for its rehabilitation, improved maintenance and possible expansion in the longer term. This study is going to carry out Economic, Technical and Environmental analysis for water borne and low cost sanitation options for a 30 year planning horizon and develop methods of treatment and or disposal of wastes in the city of Accra.
