The project involves the construction and operation of a 50MW PV solar plant in Deh Ghairabad, Mirpur Sakro, District Thatta, in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. The SPV Gharo Solar (Private) Limited is owned by Mr. Rana Nasim Ahmed; Windforce (Pvt) Ltd.; Norsk Solar A.S. and Mr. Muhammad Khaqan Babar. The $22.5m debt funding was provided by FMO, Bank Alfalah and the Bank of Punjab. The Project shall be setup in IPP mode in the licensed territory of K-Electric Limited and was awarded Tariff by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (‘NEPRA’), execution of Term Sheet in relation to Energy Purchase Agreement with KE. Payment guarantee is to be given by the government of Pakistan in the form of Implementation Agreement (IA).
