Description | On December 2010, Max Power (Bangladesh, 100%) a Bangladeshi Independent Power Producer, signed rental agreement with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for the construction and operation for a 5 years term of a 78 MW natural gas power plants at Ghorasal. Under the Rental agreement, Max Power was to supply 78 MW of energy to BPDB for a term of 5 years. The remainder of the energy was to be sold to the public. Following a direct negotiation process, MAX was awarded to set up a 78 MW natural gas power plant at Ghorasal. The total project cost was 30.96 US millions and reached financial closure in February 2011, few months after the signing date, said the BPDB.
