Giant UHV Renewable Energy Project in Gansu Province

This project involved the completion of approximately 200 kilometers of ultra-high voltage (UHV) transmission lines connecting eastern and western power lines in Gansu province, China. It integrates the region's power grid and enables the efficient transport of electricity produced by wind and solar energy sources in the west to large consumption centers in eastern and central provinces such as Shandong. The project includes the commissioning of the Baiyin zone, which connects 4.5 gigawatts of increased renewable energy capacity to the UHV trunk lines, aiming to transfer more than 11 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, saving coal and reducing carbon emissions.
