Description
Description | "The WAGGGS Europe Region Framework Partnership Agreement (2026–2028) proposal, titled ""Girls’ and Young Women’s Leadership for an Open and Inclusive Europe"" (GLOW), aims to advance gender equality, empower girls and young women, and create systemic change across Europe. Representing 1.1 million members in 42 countries, WAGGGS aligns its work with EU priorities, particularly the Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025, to deliver impactful and inclusive programmes. The project focuses on leadership development, capacity building, advocacy in EU policy spaces, cross-border collaboration, and addressing systemic barriers to gender equality. Key activities across 3 years, including leadership training, the Academy, International Commissioners’ Forum, and regional conference, will equip young women with skills to lead in politics, business, and civil society. It prioritises inclusion, supporting marginalised groups such as ethnic minorities, rural youth, and LGBTQ+ individuals, ensuring equitable access to opportunities. A proposed robust monitoring and evaluation strategy with gender-responsive indicators measures participation, programme outcomes, and advocacy impact. Digital tools like the Campfire platform enhance accessibility and knowledge-sharing, while partnerships with EU institutions and civil society organisations amplify reach and ensure sustainability. At WAGGGS volunteers play a central role in delivering activities, fostering grassroots engagement, and ensuring programme scalability and adaptability across diverse contexts. By building Member Organisations’ capacity and leveraging digital tools, WAGGGS ensures that the project's outcomes are impactful and sustainable beyond the funding period. Through GLOW, WAGGGS will foster a united Movement led by young women, contributing to a more inclusive and equal Europe." |
