Description | Give a Chance!–Glocalizing the Youth Work through Social Entrepreneurship in Euro-Med wants to give young people a change to address their own issues in their own communities while making them aware and take action towards to the global issues. In all countries involved, there is poverty, the youth unemployment, lack of entrepreneurship of young people. Thus, there is a common issues that we can address while increasing capacities of each other. We chose the Glocalization of Youth Work through Social Entrepreneurship theme due to very explanation of Glocalization which represents a challenge to simplistic conceptions of globalization processes as linear expansions of territorial scales. Glocalization indicates that the growing importance of continental and global levels is occurring together with the increasing salience of local and regional levels. We believe that if we address first the issues in our local areas that can trigger a change in the overall community of the partner countries. This project highlights the high levels of youth unemployment and economic exclusion in Turkey, Spain, Morocco, and Tunisia, and the need to increase young people's employability and entrepreneurial skills to address these issues. The program aims to address the root causes of unemployment and economic exclusion in the partner countries and build the capacities of organizations to run similar programs in the future. During the project, 8 youth workers will be qualified as mentors to support 40 young people to implement local activities in the form of social entrepreneurship. These activities are expected to reach out 4000 people in total to promote the social issues in the communities while making and qualifying the young people as the agents of change. To increase the sustainability of the project and ensure the multiplication of results, in each country we will implement a ToT for the Youth Organisations to promote the social entrepreneurship and its usage in youth work. |
