Description | This Project will replace the failed Air Handling Unit (AHU) #2 serving the Operating Room at Glace Bay Hospital. Because compliance to CSA Z317.2-01 is currently not being met, surgeries are now being cancelled. The existing unit had been experiencing severe structural and mechanical component issues as a result of metal corrosion due to humidity, leaking of condensate (water), and deterioration of the protective galvanizing. As well, the AHU module flooring was heavily damaged causing infiltration of untreated air (re humidity, volume and purity) into the hospital ventilation system. |
