Description | The project consists of upgrades to the water and sewer systems on the following streets in and around Glace Bay: Union Street; Highland Street; Connaught Avenue P1; Mechanic Street; Phalen Road; Gannon Street; Connaught Avenue P2; King Edward Street; McKeen Street; Dominion Street; Connaught Avenue P3; Brookside Street; Wallace Road. The scope of the work involves approximately 2,110 metres of water distribution main; separation of combined sewer, resulting in approximately 20 metres of new sanitary and 3,465 metres storm water main, and reinstatement of roadway and sidewalk infrastructure. The project aims to improve the quality of the water system and improvements to the sewer disposal system. |
