Description | Pennsylvania American Water plans to build a new 50,000-square-foot water treatment plant in Exeter Township to serve 25,000 customers across several townships. The plant will initially treat 3 million gallons daily, expandable to 6 million gallons, replacing most of the existing wells by drawing water from the Schuylkill River. The facility will include advanced treatment technologies such as UV light disinfection, activated carbon filters, and corrosion control to meet new state and federal regulations on water quality, including PFAS filtration. |
