NextGen Nano Limited plans a pilot agrivoltaics initiative in West Africa using its PolyPower™ transparent organic solar film technology. The project aims to combine food and energy production within greenhouse and tunnel structures, enabling climate-controlled agriculture and renewable electricity generation in off-grid and energy-constrained environments. It targets cultivation of nutrient-dense crops and supports cooling, refrigeration, and community energy needs. The pilot will assess public health benefits, local employment, skills development, and energy resilience. The initiative aims to replicate this model globally with a target deployment of up to £300 million over five years.
