Description | The general objective of the project is to promote the intersection between the European Union and Brazil, so that the themes, institutes and principles prevailing in the EU are disseminated in Brazil, within the scope of state institutions, civil society, universities and among students, researchers and legal professionals. The specific objective of the project, Global Crossings, is to research global citizenship; climate change and ecocide; and transhumanity, in the context of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The following activities are proposed: seminars; one book per year; an International Congress; 1 monograph contest; a documentary about ecocide; an exhibition about global citizenship; a Review for publications; digital media channels; workshops for training public agents; a report about ecocide. The project will generate positive impacts in the academic world and civil society, in decision making by public agents, civil society actors, representatives from different levels of education and the media, students of law, international relations and related areas, researchers and professors. The direct impacts could reach about 1,000 people each year, for a total of 3,000 people over the three years. Indirectly, the project will reach a larger number of people and professionals, from civil society, universities and other institutions, totaling approximately 5 to 6 thousand people. The outputs are the effective dissemination of knowledge of the European Union in Brazil, with the awareness of the academic community, civil society, Universities and public and private institutions regarding the themes involving the EU, the construction of bases for the elaboration of new public policies in Brazil, taking into consideration the models already developed in the European Union, the elaboration of policies to confront climate change, global citizenship and the interests of the humanity. The expected results are the dissemination of EU knowledge. |
