The lot will accommodate up to 7,000 vehicles, aiming to reduce reliance on scattered off-site storage across Genesee County. The project supports GM's $1 billion investment in Flint Assembly and Flint Metal Center for next-generation heavy-duty trucks. The site plan includes environmental and safety conditions such as berms, greenbelt buffers, shielded lighting, and restricted access. The lot surface will be fully paved or concrete, storing only operable vehicles, with no parking decks or generator-powered light towers. The site is expected to be operational by fall 2025. |
