The main objective of the European Co development of our animated feature project FELIX THE BRAVE (GO WITH THE FLOH (OT)) is to raise the interest of possible financiers/distributors in order to get the film financed, produced and distributed in the best way possible. The production of CGI animated features is especially expensive and time consuming and can rarely be managed by one European producer only. Therefor European collaboration on an early stage is of great importance. With its universal story and characters, the film has the potential to reach big family audiences all over the world. The co development will include the production of a pre-teaser for the film which is important in order to present to possible financiers the look and feel of the film, the improvement of the script in accordance with storyboarding/production of an animatic, detailed budgeting of the film, designs for characters & sets, models & rigs for the characters & props used in the teaser, translations of the script and so called pipeline development and set up for the teaser, which is also a test for the planning of the whole film. Overall, there will be around 35 people employed over a time frame of 24 months. Next to the production team, there will be a storyboard, design, animation, post production and sound team involved. In case of financing app. 120 people will be employed during the two year production period of the film. In this framework every national producer has its own tasks and team to take care of. The outcome of the co development will be a high-quality pre-teaser and other presentation material to inspire and convince national and international decision makers to contribute to the making of this film and to have promotional material at hand that already helps teasing the respective audiences all over the world. In addition, we will have built a highly motivated international core team that can smoothly go into the production of the film without further difficulties.
