Description

Description

Going Digital Together set the ambitious aim to support the implementation of the European-wide Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027). In particular, our goal is to enhance the digital skills and competencies of educators in Europe through a smart professional network. This will be achieved by building a strong community of practice, by organising free online events open to anyone, anywhere, anytime, by publishing the latest research results in digital education and pedagogy and sharing the benefits of using digital tools in 21st century classrooms. These activities will connect experienced researchers with educational practitioners and young scholars to achieve a transformative change in using digital tools at all levels of education. Fostering innovation and disseminating the successful application of digital tools and pedagogic models. EDEN contributes to several EC Working Groups on Digital Education: Learning, Training and Assessment and in the WG on Higher Education. A major contribution of Going Digital Together is an annual international conference focusing on digitalisation of education in Europe, a Research Workshop, an annual European Online and Distance Learning Week, free webinars during the Open Education Week and two open online academic journals. Two PhD Symposia and a mentoring scheme will support scholars. Innovative practice will also be supported by several EDEN awards and digital badges. Key stakeholders will benefit from these activities, including the K12, HE sectors and adult education. We expect a minimum of 350 participants from 40 countries in our hybrid conferences and thousands following our events on YouTube. Our Going Digital Together webinar series will reach at least 1000 participants, EURODL will attract around 50,000 viewers a year. Our regular Newsflash will reach over 14,000 stakeholders. The outreach of our smart network will extend throughout Europe in supporting the vision of a high performing digital education ecosystem.
