Golden Dome for America missile defense program

planned

President Donald Trump's plan to put weapons in space, called the “Golden Dome for America” missile defense program, is a futuristic missile defense system ordered by Trump in an executive order during his first week in office. The system is envisioned to include ground- and space-based capabilities able to detect, intercept and stop missiles at all major stages of a potential attack. It is inspired by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system and aims to address the threat from next-generation strategic weapons.
