Description | The Golden Pass LNG project in Sabine Pass, Texas, is a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil. It includes multiple LNG trains with a total capacity of 18 million tonnes per annum. Train 1 has a capacity of six million tonnes per annum and has started LNG production. Trains 2 and 3, each with a capacity of around five to six million tonnes per annum, are still under construction with phased start-up expected between 2026 and 2027. The project had a final investment decision of over $10 billion in February 2019. |
