Sponsor BioTherm has secured a ZAR2,225 billion ($164.9m) 17-year A loan. The equity part amounts to ZAR625 million ($46.3m) and represents a debt-to-equity ratio of 78:22. The facility benefits from a 20-year PPA with national Utility Eskom. The project achieved Preferred Bidder status under Round 4 of the REIPPP Programme in South Africa in April 2015 and has been brought to financial close on 24 July 2018 in line with the progress of the REIPPP programme.
