Description | The Goldfield Project is a conventional open-pit, heap leach gold mining project located in Nevada. It has an expected mine life of approximately seven years, with average annual gold production of around 100,000 ounces in peak years. The project features a relatively simple process flowsheet, optimized crushing strategy, and a targeted gold hedging strategy to lock in margins. Initial capital cost is about $252 million, funded from Centerra's existing liquidity, with first production expected by the end of 2028. The project includes four open pits, with the Gemfield pit accounting for approximately 80% of total life of mine production. It is expected to create 300-400 jobs during construction and 250-300 jobs during operations, and contribute approximately $100 million in direct taxes over its life. |
