Description | Goldin Finance 117, a long-delayed skyscraper in Tianjin, China, designed to be 596 meters (around 1,955 feet) tall, is nearing completion 18 years after construction began. The building is the world's tallest unoccupied building and features a complex system of mega columns and trusses to anchor it against strong winds and seismic activity. Construction resumed in April 2025 after suspension due to financial troubles and the hoisting of a 7.6-tonne diamond-shaped crown on top of the building was a major milestone. Leasing for the main tower has been mostly completed with 17 companies enlisted. |
