Goldsboro Voluntary Water Conservation

The City of Goldsboro is implementing a voluntary water conservation effective April 20 due to drought conditions. Voluntary conservation is triggered when the Neuse River reaches 51.5 feet mean sea level for seven consecutive days. Recommended conservation measures include taking 5-minute showers, turning off water while shaving or brushing teeth, running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads, and installing water-saving devices on toilets and showers. Mandatory conservation may be enforced if the river falls to or below 50 feet mean sea level for three consecutive days.
