Good Earth Green Hydrogen and Ammonia (GEGHA) Project

The GEGHA project is an integrated solar energy to hydrogen and ammonia operation adjacent to Sundown's Joint Venture Wathagar cotton ginning facility near Moree, NSW. It uses renewable energy to generate hydrogen via electrolysis, which is then used to produce ammonia fertiliser with negligible CO2 emissions. The project includes 36 MW of solar generation capacity, a 41 MWh battery energy storage system, and a 15 MW electrolysis capacity. It aims to produce up to 4,500 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia annually and supply 224 tonnes of green hydrogen for heavy-vehicle refuelling and irrigation pumping.
