Description
Description | This project aims at supporting Good Governance principles in the European hockey family. The project will be developed, piloted and implemented in two of the Region 2 countries, Georgia and Armenia, with the aim to roll-out to other European nations. Image it’s evening and you are sitting with your family and close friends around the table for a good game of Monopoly. Old and young can join, as all are equal and able to play. There is something to drink and to eat on the big table and a friend is explaining the rules for some of the new ones. You unpack the monopoly box, put the board on the table and lay out the streets, the “chance” cards and count the money. Who starts? Who is the bank? All clear? OK, the game starts!! “Damn, why is it that I must go to jail every time? Should I buy this street? Ahh, I have to throw at least 7 to jump over these streets with hotels!” A nice evening spend together with lots of fun discussions, a bit of cheating, some emotional moments where the different characters of the players get exposed and a fair “congratulations” in the end. Let’s put it all back in the box and time to go to bed for the youngsters. “Tomorrow is another day” Who doesn’t love a good game? A game brings rules, objectives, and the perfect balance of individualism and teamwork. It naturally fosters values like transparency, teamwork, fairness, inclusion, and respect—often without players even realizing they are developing them. Everything flows effortlessly. In the heat of the game, different character traits emerge, yet always within a safe environment filled with laughter and meaningful discussions. Welcome to the Good Governance Game |
