Description | The Goongarrie Hub deposit, part of the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project, is one of Australia's largest nickel-cobalt resources. It has been identified as a key project in the Australia-Japan joint statement on cooperation in critical minerals, aiming to enhance secure and diversified supply chains. The project is developed in partnership with Sumitomo Metal Mining and Mitsubishi and has received non-binding, conditional support from Export Finance Australia and the US Export-Import Bank. It has also been granted Major Project Status by the Australian government and is part of the Investor Front Door pilot programme to streamline government engagement. |
