Description | Norway's sovereign-wealth fund and British Columbia's provincial investment corporation plan to buy one-third shares each in the Goose Prairie Solar project in eastern Yakima County, Washington. The current owner, Brookfield Asset Management, will retain the remaining one-third share and continue operating the 80-megawatt solar installation. The project began generating electricity in 2024 and is located on 625 acres of unirrigated agricultural land. The ownership transfer requires approval from Washington's Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council. |
