"The project is aimed at the preparation of a new generation of competitive specialists in the ""green area"" as a response to the environmental and economic challenges of reality. This project focus on four kinds of activities: Teaching, Research, Publications and Events. Within the framework of the project, it is proposed to modernize the curriculum at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology in Baku State University by introducing a module of 3 green interdisciplinary subjects: The concepts of a green economy. Theory and EU practice; NanoTech approach for GreenChem; Green design and policy of drugs in EU. The feature of the project is the synergistic effect of the modular approach in Green Science, which would not be possible to achieve when studying these disciplines separately. Main outputs: - modernization of the BSU educational program in two faculties by introducing Green Oriented Studies (GOS) - Improving the competitiveness of undergraduate students in the labour market - increasing the attention of future masters and doctors of science to the issues of the green course in the EU - publication of lecture materials on 3 subjects in 3 languages The value of this project for the EU is that a sustainable green course with a limited territory loses its effectiveness, due to the fact that environmental problems do not have borders. This means that the EU is interested in promoting the idea of the European Green Deal in as large a territory as possible, especially in the territory of a strategic partner of a number of European countries in the energy sector. The project assumes the creation of a basis for further cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in this direction. The number of persons benefiting from the project is a minimum of 200 students and young researchers. Moreover, published materials will be posted open access in 3 languages which will provide sustainability of the project; events will include domestic and international audiences."
