Description

The project consists of the installation of a new sanitary trunk sewer in the City of St. John’s. The scope of the project includes the supply and installation of 240 meters of a large diameter sanitary trunk sewer from the Kilbride neighborhood to the Goulds neighborhood and the rehabilitation of 75 meters of linear stormwater assets. The scope of the project also includes: the extension of a watermain in the project area by 850 meters and the re-instatement of any roadway affected by the work. This project is the second phase of a larger project which aims to eliminate the discharge of raw sewage into Shoal Bay ocean outfall by having it pumped to Riverhead Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project will benefit the community by increasing its capacity to treat and manage wastewater and stormwater as well as improving the community’s access to potable water.
