The DataGouv Chair at the University of Rennes 1 (France), where Brunessen Bertrand is an associate research professor, focuses on data governance within the European digital policy. The Chair will highlight the uniqueness of the European data sharing project, based on European values. The first objective of the Chair is to make European digital law emerge as a new discipline to improve the employability of law students. The program of the Chair is composed of 7 courses (134 hours per year), including a new course that will address over the 3 years to 60 learners. The Chair will be able to train about 1560 students on digital issues over the 3 years. The second objective of the Chair is to develop high-level scientific expertise on data governance and to create a community of researchers on these fundamental societal issues. The Datagouv Chair is distinguished by its original concept: to create an academic discipline and involve students and citizens in the emergence of this discipline. It will result in 4 scientific events, 2 events for the general public and 4 deliverables. 4 events will be organized: 1 symposium on digital sovereignty, 1 symposium on health data governance, 1 workshop on Green Deal and digital, 1 workshop on health data. The Datagouv Chair will allow the publication of 3 books: 1 individual book on data governance, 1 book on digital sovereignty and 1 book on Green Deal and Digital. These activities will be innovative because they will be organized in cooperation with associations in a citizen science perspective. The accessibility of the Chair's work to the general public will be made possible by putting content online on the Chair's website in an open science perspective.
