Description | An 80-ton building in Gouverneur, New York, was put on wheels and moved approximately half a mile from Gouverneur Middle School to Owl Road. The building, initially used for BOCES education and later for multiple school district purposes, was slated for demolition but was instead relocated and will be rehabilitated to provide additional office space and a new courtroom for town employees. The project is funded by the town and executed by Wolfe House & Building Movers using a 4-dolly system controlled by a tablet. The town plans to lay a new foundation for the building later in the month. |
