Government Property Disposal and Inner City Renewal Program

planned/implementation

The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure has identified over 1,600 government buildings and properties for disposal as part of a strategy to reduce leasing costs and invest in core government infrastructure. The program also targets the rehabilitation of dilapidated and hijacked buildings in inner cities, including Johannesburg, to promote urban revitalisation and job creation.
