Government Wind Energy Projects Halt

halted

The Trump administration announced the halting of any government-initiated wind energy projects as part of reshaping the country's approach to renewable energy. This includes stopping preferential treatment for wind projects, evaluating whether to stop onshore wind development on some federal lands, and halting future offshore wind lease sales. The Department of the Interior will also analyze the impact of wind energy devices on bird populations and improve consultation with tribes, local communities, and the fishing industry regarding offshore wind projects.
