Description
Description | The GRADE project was developed in accordance with the final report of the working group on “Preparing for the next European Graduate Survey” (revised version, November 2024). Bulgaria is participating in the Second Pilot Survey of Eurograduates (2022), covering the cohorts of graduates of the academic years 2020/2021 and 2016/2017. The Eurograduate 2026 survey will build on the results and experience gained from the first GRADE project. The main objectives of the project are: - to provide a reliable database on the professional development of higher education graduates; - to support the maintenance and dissemination of the established sustainable mechanism for conducting regular surveys. Among the envisaged activities are: 1. Implementation and conduct of a survey; 2. Data analysis; 3. Maintenance and dissemination of the survey and the established sustainable policy document; 4. Development and dissemination of a strategic document. The survey will identify challenges and any mismatches between the knowledge and skills of graduates and current job requirements, promote the assessment of the quality and effectiveness of education and training, and improve the feedback process for the further development of recent graduates. Bulgaria has a highly respected BURS, which is available in Bulgarian and English. The system supports the development of public policies for higher education, such as funding public institutions based on quality and determining publicly subsidized admissions of undergraduate and doctoral students. The GRADE II project will also cover Bulgarian graduates working abroad. The Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science has the necessary capacity to take the next step and is also counting on continuity with the previous Eurograduate Survey when it is included for the first time. |
